New Cityscape series...

If you've read my blog at blogspot.com, you've seen my post mentioning that I'm starting a new series of paintings involving cityscapes.

Today I was inspired to do the first of my series: this evening I worked on the first painting, which is a small acrylic cityscape measuring about 6" X 6" in deep blue and green hues, accented with yellows and oranges. The title of the painting is "A Night in the City", and I hope to create many more in this series in the coming weeks.

Hello there! My name is Jennifer, and I am the mother of five teens living in the Houston, Texas area. My life revolves around raising my kids, keeping the house from falling down around us and playing with paint, as well as a full time job as a title examiner.
I am a self-taught artist, using my creative and sometimes bizarre mind to come up with colors, shapes and scenes and transferring them from my my mind to a canvas or piece of paper. I love to experiment with different styles, colors, media and shapes in my artwork, so you might find me listing acrylics one week, watercolor the next, and then a mixed media collage after that. I create art because I love it - it makes me happy. I'm here to share that enjoyment with others. :)
