It is now week 2 of the 29Faces challenge, and I have to admit it has definitely been a challenge, My subject of choice is usually much more abstract, and either a tree or a skyline, or even the moon and stars. So, when I tell my brain that we are going to draw a face and not a group of purple trees, my brain does this rebelling thing for a bit, and then gets to work. Some of the results of last week's let's-draw-faces-and-not-trees arguments are below:
Also, in keeping with my personal challenge and promise to make more art this year, I finished two small acrylics on canvas this weekend, I haven't named them yet, other than the tree one and the building one. They need better names.
I am a self-taught artist, using my creative and sometimes bizarre mind to come up with colors, shapes and scenes and transferring them from my my mind to a canvas or piece of paper. I love to experiment with different styles, colors, media and shapes in my artwork, so you might find me listing acrylics one week, watercolor the next, and then a mixed media collage after that. I create art because I love it - it makes me happy. I'm here to share that enjoyment with others.
