I love abstracts that pop with color and motion, as well as intricate, whimisical "weird" things... left to right (below) are pieces from InherentlyRandom (etsyshop), David T. Alexander, Dawn Chandler, and Nijole Rassmussen (who I may have mentioned once before!)
Another favorite of mine is botanical art, and since fall is the time for finding interesting leaves in all shapes and colors, why not use that to my advantage? I am planning several ink and pencil drawings that will incorporate interesting leave shapes and textures, such as this one I did during a little sketch practice in September.
I am a self-taught artist, using my creative and sometimes bizarre mind to come up with colors, shapes and scenes and transferring them from my my mind to a canvas or piece of paper. I love to experiment with different styles, colors, media and shapes in my artwork, so you might find me listing acrylics one week, watercolor the next, and then a mixed media collage after that. I create art because I love it - it makes me happy. I'm here to share that enjoyment with others.
